Update Status

What is the full life cycle of an application from the initial screening to the final approval stage?

On the right side of this submission is a light blue column named Actions to take. You can update the status, or move this application to a different workflow, via the Update Status button. To change the status from Screening to Internal Review, please select Open Review. You should see the application move from the first to second workflow status.

You will learn about the other workflow statuses soon. This exercise will only cover moving it from the screening to the next status.

Actions to Take

Which Statuses are Automated?

Submissions with two assigned reviewers, one primary and one secondary, will automatically move from Screening to Internal Review status in the workflow - note that this will notify the applicant.

Submissions that have received two reviews will automatically move from β€œInternal Review” to β€œReady for Discussion.” Note that the applicant will be notified about this change.

All double no’s could be moved to β€œReady for Preliminary Determination.” This action won’t notify the applicant and indicates to the team no further discussion is required. A dismiss determination could be sent when a submission is at the Ready for Preliminary Determination status.

When Can an Applicant EDIT Submissions?

If you are going to solicit more information, send a β€œNeed more Information” determination message. The status will change to β€œMore info required.” The applicant could EDIT the submission when the submission is in the β€œMore info required” status.
