# Assign or Change Leads

The round lead could change or reassign the **lead** of any submission within the webapp. The lead receives notifications in the slack channel, these notifications include when an application has been submitted, there’s a new comment, or an applicant has edited their submission among others.

There are three different methods to change a ‘Lead’:

Method #1 - This could be changed for a single submission or multiple submissions as a batch action. Select a submission or multiple submissions via rounds (not all submissions). The option to change the Status, assign the Lead, or assign Reviewers should appear:

Method #2 You can change the lead directly on the submission by clicking on the lead button

Method #3 You can change the lead directly on the Fund, Lab, or Fellowship application within Wagtail admin.
